New Comedy Show, Wednesday 3/9 at Lincoln Park Tavern

Ted alexandro As I've mentioned from time to time, I'm a stand-up comic. Though parenthood has taken a major bite out of my performing schedule, I've decided that the best way to get more stage time is to get the stage closer to my house. Lincoln Park Tavern has agreed to help me with this, and this Wednesday will be the first Pant-Hoot Comedy Show, a free monthly stand-up showcase.

The lineup for the first show will be:

Ted Alexandro (2 half-hour Comedy Central specials, Letterman, Conan, Kimmel...)
Joe Mande (Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, VH1's Best Week Ever, author of Look At This Fucking Hipster)
Brooke Van Poppelen (TLC's American Chopper, upcoming Comedy Central sketch show Jon Benjamin Has a Van)
Liam McEneaney (Showtime's Caroline Rhea and Friends, Comedy Central's Premium Blend, Tell Your Friends: The Concert Film, debuting this week at SXSW)

Hosted by Charles Star (Bridgetown Comedy Festival, host of Adult Education)

In the future, the show will be on the second Thursday of the month, so mark your calendars now.

Why don't you show
a video from your show, so that there're more of those willing to see it?

Go Charles!

Liz -

We aren't going to tape and post the show for a lot of reasons. The two primary reasons are (1) comedy is best as a live experience despite the ubiquity of YouTube and (2) my show is basically a practice room for comics. It is my hope that it will be a good practice room, where the practice is worth watching (1 for 1 so far) but nobody wants their practice sessions posted online.

The next show is on April 14th. I hope you can make it because the only place to see that show will be at Lincoln Park Tavern.

The comedy show last week was excellent, Charles, thanks so much for organizing! What a great thing to have in our neighborhood!
