A Novel Method of Document Destruction Is Described
I don't know what normal people do with papers that need to be protected from evil-doers before being recycled but after have two shredders in a row break on us within months, I started stockpiling for the day we can afford a shredder that doesn't die immediately. After reaching the spill-over point of our "to be shredded" bin, I bagged a bunch of papers up and put them under our stoop for temporary storage.
I had actually forgotten about this, however, until just recently. While cleaning under the stoop, I found the old bag... and - behold - it no longer needed shredding! Thanks to some flooding last year, nature and her legion of microbes had turned our private dealings into compost. What a bargain!
BEFORE (RECREATION):

What I find really fascinating is that you took a "Before" picture of a bag of garbage. Is that a particular variant of OCD? Obsessive Compulsive Documentary Disorder?

Actually, the BEFORE is a re-creation.

I've just discovered another method of document destruction: I crumbled up sensitive papers and throw them in a bag of cat shit and dirty diapers. So far, so good!
