Now Open: Blue Roost Petite Cafe

Billy and linda Linda and Billy began welcoming people to the Blue Roost this morning. I* was only able to pop in, snap a photo, and grab a $2 cup of strong coffee in a classic Greek cup, so I have nothing to share but this photo and these kind words from a commenter. You can see most of the menu if you click to expand the photo, though, so there's that.

Blue Roost gets much more seating in a small space than I thought possible. Color me impressed.

* I accidentally posted this as Carrie. All criticism, including photo composition, should be directed at me. - Charles

Also, we should add that the place looks GREAT! They did an awesome job of giving it a cute and comfy feel.

I stopped in weds. afternoon and had a tasty egg sandwich. The space is very charming and inviting-- they definitely make the most out of what they have. The menu looked great, and I will absolutely be back for an in-house meal.

Linda is my cousin and I am so proud of her. She has been an artist all of her life. Finally she gets to see her dream come to fruition. So very happy for her and Billy.

I stopped by this morning, and had the irish porridge with sauteed bananas. Yum!

Had the quiche for lunch - delicious! I nearly inhaled it, it was so good. Finally had to force myself to eat like a civilized person. All that, and a cupcake, too! Now I need to work out for 17 hours straight...

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone. We all have worked hard to get this place open, but none more than Billy & Linda.

where is it?

babs

On the east side of Flatbush Ave., just south of Lincoln Rd. For now I think they close at 4, but they should be open later soon.
