Incident on Parkside and Flatbush Tonight

We're not exactly sure why police cars were backed up at Parkside and Flatbush this evening, but I have a hunch that it might be from this:

Police in Brooklyn shot a woman after she refused to drop a knife.
It happened just before 7pm Monday on Parkside Avenue in Flatbush.
Police responded to the call of an emotionally disturbed person.
Once inside, they confronted the 31-year-old woman and told her to drop a knife that she was holding, and sprayed her with pepper spray.

(The article doesn't state a location on Parkside, though, so don't quote me.)

This is probably true. I was in Duane Reade when this went down and the immediate word was that cops shot a woman in the apartment complex between ocean and flatbush.
