New Mamary Bar Opening in Fly Fish Spot (updated)

Lincoln-park-tavern Some neighbors on the Lefferts list alerted us to the fact that Jim Mamary & Company are putting a bar in the storefront formerly known as Fly Fish (49 Lincoln Road). According to resident realtor Bette Cunningham, the new place, dubbed Lincoln Park Tavern (an homage to Chicago?), will open on Wednesday Tuesday, March 9.

Good idea, huh? After all, the best thing about Fly Fish was the drinks. (Not that we drink much anymore, but still....) And this should leave more room at the bar at Enduro. Win-win!

Wait, Tuesday March 9, or Wednesday March 10?

Woohoo! Good news. We welcome a new bar with open arms.

Jenn, good question! Bette says it's Tuesday the 9th.

I think if Lincoln Park doesn't go over, there should be a contest to decide the theme for the next try. My entry: The new space should look a lot like... Enduro's. And have the same menu... as Enduro's. And also have the same employees. And also it should be called Enduro's.

Alternatively, I would suggest a LOST themed restaurant where the only thing on the menu are the numbers 4 8 15 16 23 42 and the waitstaff walks around yelling "Walt!!!!!!!"

And the kitchen staff keeps shouting "Smoke Monster!" LOL! Thanks for the humor, Seth. Did you take a funny pill today? :-)

What's up? The gates are down.

They are probably still renovating the interior, Jenn. I think Carrie got the picture of the window when the gates happened to be up.

Just walked by and they were working on what appears will be...
Lincoln Road Tavern.

SO exciting!!!

Supposedly today was to be opening day, but that was told to me with some scepticism by someone at Enduro's earlier this week. It can't open soon enough, however - you can't even get a seat at the bar at Enduro's most of the time!
