Feral Caturday: Update
The sweet kitten found on Hawthorne Street has a new home -- and it's not on the streets! Izzy is now comfortably living indoors in Ditmas Park, so she may still be able to vote in the 40th district. After a lot of sleep her first day inside, she has adjusted well to her new surroundings, and is running around, jumping on the furniture, playing with toy mice and living the good life.

what a cutie! on a completely unrelated note, anyone know what happened on the corner of flatbush and maple at around 5 yesterday? i arrived home from work to a very large group of people on both corners watching... someone get arrested or something.

Is this the cat with the dark streak down her back? Super skinny? If so, I'm happy she found a home.

This reminds me of our first cat, Nonnie (short for No Name) who we took in from the street when we were living in Park Slope, many years ago. We had been feeding her outside for weeks and when we let her in she went straight for the room furthest from the street and slept for along time. She didn't like being in the street at all.

Indeed, Izzy does have a new home (http://www.urbancholita.com/2009/09/here-kitty-kitty.html). So far, she seems to love it.
