Fly Fish: Mission Statement and Menu

Fly Fish (49 Lincoln Road) didn't have paper menus available when we stopped by this afternoon, but we were able to snap these pictures (sorry about the glare) of the new menu and the mission statement. As far as we know, Fly Fish is still under the same management as Whiskey Sunday / Enduro.

There is much more of the old bbq on offer than I expected, and I am very happy to see (a) a raw bar (!) and (b) that there are a lot of non-fried fish options. Don't get me wrong, I loooooooooove fried fish, but sometimes I need to be saved from myself. Also notable is the expansion of the dessert menu. I hope that just as the addition of fish didn't decimate the meat options, the rum drinks are in addition to, rather than instead of, the excellent beer and whiskey options previously available.

If you made it out to the soft open tonight or go once they are up and running for real, please post a comment and tell us what you think.

This is an AMAZING menu! I am excited about several of its offerings.....

I still don't see the cheap beer their mission statement mentions....

Sounds like you aren't a PBR man, Michael.

I shed a tear for the loss of mashed sweets, pork shoulder and 9 television sets playing excellently nostalgic movies. I loathe the new aqua blue aesthetic, complete with TGIF-y swordfish, weathered paddles and the ample shellfish selection (Epi-Pens should be made available for those of us with shellfish allergies.. boo. Boo, indeed.) While I will still give my business to this new Fly Fish establishment, my usual weekly visit for BBQ is going to be reduced to a once-monthly Lone Star fix. Sigh.

Also added to loathe list: flat screen TV blaring sports. Big time "Meh." Too bad I can't take to Lone Star to go.

Looking forward to trying the new menu! I know the mashed sweets will be missed, but hopefully all the other food will be delicious. As far as cheaper beer goes, I wish people would stop bitching about it. You should be glad there's a place within walking distance of where you live to even go and have a beer, aside from drinking at home. I'm willing to pay a dollar extra to not have to get on a train.

I like it much more now! it is starting to have the same vibe of its partner "Enduro" which has always had a warm, inviting staff and atmosphere!

Hi,

I did not have a pleasant experience there at all. My boyfriend and I went there, and the waitress was rude, asked us while we were still eating (yes, in the process) would we like our meal to be boxed up and THEN asked us if we'd like to take dessert home? It turns out she had friends at the bar who wanted our table and as we were leaving, they thank her. WTF? On top of that, the food was horrible and overpriced. Avoid at all costs.

R

Oh, and btw, her friends' comments about "rude Asians" which we are not should be kept to one's self. My boyfriend is from Japan, but I was born here, and did not appreciate that at all. I'm sorry if we weren't smiling after being pushed out.
