Rain almost foils Flatbush street fair

Today's street fair on Flatbush (between Empire and Parkside) was a rather sad affair, at least for the first 3/4 of the day. The rain was so relentless that most of the vendors never showed—which was fortunate, I suppose, since most of the people to patronize them didn't show either. I did, however, hear a rasta man with a mic say that rain was God's blessing.

Apparently, God didn't want you to enjoy soul food or funnel cakes. After the sun came out in the late afternoon, things got more lively. Unfortunately, thanks to God, we'd already invested in a couple of slices by then....
