Associated salutes gentrifiers with new organic section

The Associated grocer on Flatbush (between Hawthorne and Fenimore) has a new organic food section at the back of the store: lots of cereal, beans, rice, pasta, sugar, coffee beans, various Amy's products, and other nonperishable items. As mentioned earlier, the store—like several in the neighborhood—carries organic eggs, milk, and other perishable goods as well. I had a crying baby with me, so I only did a brief walk-through today, but the section looks comparable to Little Papa and Sons farther north.

Yes! I believe this slowly began when they stocked organic lemonade, which was being sold for $1.99 for a nice sized bottle. Sadly, with the addition of more items, the lemonade is now a little more expensive.

I feel like talking to the store manager. Just cause you now carry better products and near by, doesn't mean I won't take my cloth bags somewhere cheaper.
