Reading this Sunday at Vox Pop

Ad-nauseam-cover Yep, more shameless self-promotion: fellow-PLGer Daniel Wright and I will be presenting slide shows based on excerpts from our new books this Sunday:

Vox Pop
Sunday, July 19, 5 pm
1022 Cortelyou, in Ditmas Park
(20 min. walk from PLG, or Q to Cortelyou)

I'll be presenting "The Curious History of Submliminal Advertising," from my book, Ad Nauseam: A Survivor's Guide to American Consumer Culture. Daniel will be showing "A Brief Guide to Child-Rearing Devices," from his book, Patently Silly: The Daftest Inventions Ever Devised.

(Incidentally, both of us originally did these talks for our lecture series, Adult Ed.) Come on down and you'll be a few steps away from the excellent food coop on Cortelyou. Bonus!
