Coming Soon: King of Tandoor
King of Tandoor, an Indian restaurant, has put an awning up at the space formerly occupied by Veggie Hut (600 Flatbush Ave., between Rutland and Midwood). When we stopped by to take a picture, we were told to expect to be knee deep in saag by the end of the month.
Apparently they have another restaurant open on Flatbush. If it is Joy Indian, we are very fortunate, indeed. There is reason to believe that it is: when the owners of Joy opened a restaurant in Philadelphia, they named it "King of Tandoor."

No connection to Joy (unfortunately). I called and asked. Joy has another place near Franklin and Flatbush, though. I tried to get the name but my kid was screaming too loud for me to hear.

Hmm. There is no such intersection. We'll have to ask the next time we're at Joy.

You're probably thinking about Bombay Masala, which is located on Franklin in Prospect Heights. I think it has some connection to Joy. Bombay Masala delivers to PLG (to my block on Sterling Street, anyway).

Bombay Masala has been in the delivery database for the Lefferts Yahoo group (both new and old) for some time.
Personally I find Joy's food to be overly bland (I know, sacrilege!), so I haven't felt the need to try Bombay Masala.
