BBQ Update

St_louisstyle_ribs In our first post about the upcoming Lincoln Road BBQ joint, we wrote that all we knew about Mr. Mamary's chef/collaborator was that he was named "Richard." According to Bret Thorne at Food Writer's Diary, that information was more telling than we realized: The planned restaurant is going to be named "Richard's Barbecue." Bret reports that the restaurant, due to open in December, is planning to focus on St. Louis-style cue, though the menu is a work-in-progress.

Bret also mentions that he has a friend named Milford in the neighborhood who makes his own excellent barbecue. This sounds like a person I should know. Milford, if you're reading this, drop me a line. I'll bring the beer and cole slaw.

If Milford is involved, expect serious 'cue. This is man is famous for his Holiday parties, and once deep-fat fried a turkey in the dead of winter.
