More traffic calming hilarity

Continuing on our speed hump alternatives theme, I just came across this awesome experiment by the Cockeyed Science Club. Enjoy. (Now I must run and get me one of those Hot Wheels Radar Guns!)

Transportation Alternatives has some speed guns (not sure if they are Hot Wheels or another make!) and they have clocked some alarming speeds throughout the city. I myself have looked over many a car service driver's shoulder to note they are going upwards of 40mph on quiet residential streets. How about if a group of us built our own speed bumps over a weekend?

I'm kinda serious...
